Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.”
Did you know that God cares especially for you?
It’s true! The Bible tells us of God’s love for all mankind. We are not the product of chance but God created mankind to be the special object of His love. We are not just physical, mental, social and emotional beings. But God made man with a spiritual capacity that we might be able to experience and know the love of God and the fulfillment God brings. God did not design life to be lived without Him. But God designed life to be lived with Himself as an essential part of man’s existence.
Did you know that sin separates us from God?
Our greatest problem is a sin problem. Mankind sinned and became separated from God. – Romans 5:12
God is Holy. When man sinned he became spiritually separated from God. No longer did he experience the love and fullness of God. All people are born with this same sinful nature. Not only are we sinners by nature, but we are sinners by choice. – Romans 3:23
Did you know that God loved us while we were yet sinners?– Romans 5:8
Now comes the good news. God looked down from heaven. He saw the tragedy of mankind going through life separated from God. He saw that we were on our way to Hell. He saw the sinfulness and stubbornness of mankind yet God loved us and He chose to provide a way that our sin could be forgiven and a way that we could have God in our life and be saved. – John 3:16
Did you know that the Lord Jesus Christ was punished in our place?
God could not merely overlook sin. God is just. He must punish sin. Our sin debt had to be paid. God came up with the greatest plan of all the ages. God as God the Son stepped down from heaven’s glory and became a man. – John 1:14
That is the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, very God and very man. The Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, and then He went to the cross and died for our sin. He did not die simply as a martyr, but He died as a substitute for all men. There on the cross, the Lord Jesus Christ was punished for the sins of all mankind. He paid our sin debt. – Hebrews 2:9; I Peter 2:24
Three days later he rose again. Thus proving that God the Father was satisfied with the sacrifice Christ made on the cross. – Acts 2:24
Today in heaven we have a living Saviour. – Hebrews 7:25
God is able to save any person who will come to Him on the basis of what Christ did in His death, burial, and resurrection.
Did you know that we must personally trust Christ as Saviour?
You say, okay, since Christ died for our sins upon the cross, does that mean that everyone is saved? The answer is NO. God does not force that salvation on any person. It must be received. – Romans 6:23; John 1:12Our part is to believe. – Acts 16:30-31
What does it mean to believe? It means to rest or rely on Christ and Christ alone for your salvation. To not trust in your works, your religion, or anything else but to accept that Christ has paid your sin debt and place your eternal destiny in His hands. – II Timothy 1:12b; Romans 10:9, 10, 13
Did you know that right now you can accept God’s invitation to come to Him?
You can do that through the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” - John 14:6
Make this your prayer: “Dear God, I know that I am a sinner but I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and that He rose again. Right now, because of what Christ had done, I ask you to forgive me for my sins and to save me. I receive Christ as my Saviour. Thank you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” - John 1:12; 6:37
